
Based on Order No. U-564 dated September 5, 2024, issued by the Rector of Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute, the departments “Innovative Technologies of the Garment Industry”, “Leather Goods Technology and Design”, and “Textile Products Technology” were merged, and the Department of “Light Industry Engineering and Design” was established. The department has a long-standing history of training engineering technologists since 1979, originating from the “Spinning of Natural and Chemical Fibers” department, and since 1982 from the Department of Light Industry Technology and Equipment. Students have been admitted to full-time, evening, and part-time programs in these specialties. Currently, the department is headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor F.F. Kazakov.
The department employs 3 Doctors of Science (Professors), 2 Candidates of Science (Professors), 7 Candidates of Science (Associate Professors), 27 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) – Associate Professors, 1 Associate Professor, 7 Senior Lecturers, and 15 Assistant Lecturers who provide education to students.
