    According to the new organizational structure of Bukhara Engineering-Technological Institute approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 10, 2019, the “Oil Refining Technology” Department was established.     Currently, the department is headed by Associate Professor A.A. Alimov, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences. The department employs 12 full-time faculty members, including 3 Doctors of Science (DSc), 3 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 2 Candidates of Science – Associate Professors, 1 Candidate of Science – Senior Lecturer, 1 Assistant, and 2 trainee lecturers.     Over the past two years, the department’s faculty members have defended 3 Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertations and 1 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation. In co-authorship, they have published 8 учеб manuals, 10 monographs, and 20 electronic textbooks (DGU) in various subjects. Additionally, 40 articles have been published in international journals with impact factors, 60 articles in journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission (OAK), and 8 articles indexed in the Scopus database. Currently, 10 doctoral students and more than 3 independent researchers are engaged in scientific research at the department.     In training qualified engineering personnel and developing scientific and technological solutions, an international grant worth 80,000 US dollars under Project AIF 2/20 – “Improving the Quality of Training Qualified Engineering Personnel in Technical Fields and Enhancing Teachers’ Professional Development Based on Person-Oriented Innovative Technologies” – is being implemented in cooperation with the Department of Metrology and Standardization. Within the framework of this grant, modern laboratory equipment has been purchased for research purposes. Laboratory and practical classes in the department’s assigned subjects are conducted directly at Neftgaztadqiqot JSC and the Bukhara Oil Refinery. Representatives of industry enterprises actively participate in the educational process.
