• Overall management of all activities and staff of the department;
• Manage the university's educational work, organize the educational process according to curricula and programs established by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the Ministry of Science and Innovations;
• Organize work on improving curricula and programs;
• Organize monitoring of students’ knowledge and skill levels through modern assessment methods. Based on the results, clarify educational thematic plans and define forms of individual work with students;
• Monitor the implementation of curricula and workloads by the university’s teaching staff;
• Study and summarize modern and advanced practices;
• Study the organization of the educational process at faculties, provide relevant instructions to faculty leadership to eliminate identified shortcomings based on monitoring results;
• Organize professional development and experience gaining for young teachers;
• Establish a database of information about teaching staff;
• Monitor the implementation of plans for professional development of university teaching staff;
• Participate in the distribution of employment for institute graduates in cooperation with the Personnel Training Department;
• Manage pedagogical and industrial internships of students in accordance with the rules approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and monitor the implementation of internship plans;
• Participate in the university admissions committee work, compile admissions information, and summarize admission results;
• Study the activities of faculties and departments, summarize results, assess the relevance of departmental activities, and submit proposals for opening new departments;
• Accept annual reports from faculties and departments.
