- General management of all activities and staff of the center;
- Regularly liaising with higher education institutions, regional and Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, and central information-library institutions to continuously expand the library collection;
- Monitoring the completion of all bibliographic tasks;
- Organizing subscriptions to newspapers and journals for the IRC;
- Maintaining relations with higher education institutions and other information-library institutions;
- Organizing book fairs at the Information and Resource Center;
- Developing promising and current work plans;
- Organizing the formation, regulation, and preservation of the Information and Resource Center’s collection;
- Ensuring the Information and Resource Center is equipped with necessary equipment and computerized;
- Providing the center with qualified staff, properly utilizing employees’ knowledge and experience, and increasing responsibility for assigned tasks;
- Selecting and placing employees, monitoring labor and production discipline;
- Supervising the processing and binding department: establishing contact with network universities and bookstores for sending books by mail, directly managing the withdrawal of literature from the library and replacement of lost books, checking accounting documents;
- Developing the assortment of the center’s services and products, introducing new unconventional types of services, expanding the center’s resource base through information retrieval, processing and presentation, and implementing new technical means for accounting, processing and organizing information;
- Carrying out necessary management actions to ensure the operation and development of the center, preventing interruptions in its activities, coordinating work with information librarianship, the Information and Resource Center, other related systems and libraries, as well as ensuring the provision of information services to students and the public;
- Assigning responsibilities for delivering and cataloging documents electronically, providing remote services, and developing Internet services at the IRC.
1. Meeting the demands of students, teaching staff, and researchers for educational literature and providing them with information services;
2. Continuously enriching the Information and Resource Center’s collection with new generation educational literature related to the institute’s study fields and specialties;
3. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-3271 dated September 13, 2017, “On the Development of the System for Publishing and Distributing Books, Increasing Reading Culture and Promoting It,” ensuring that institute students, faculty, staff, and researchers are regularly supplied with fiction, popular science literature, as well as local and foreign periodicals published by national publishers;
4. Assisting users in independent learning through the use of information and communication technologies;
5. Widely promoting national spiritual and moral values, ensuring the population’s access to cultural and historical heritage, and creating opportunities for the creative growth of spiritually rich and harmoniously developed individuals;
6. Continuously enriching the “ZiyoNET” electronic information network and the institute’s electronic library with electronic educational resources, etc.
The IRC general collection consists of 21,757 titles with 216,374 copies.
1. Textbooks and study guides: 9,615 titles with 163,702 copies
2. Scientific literature: 2,649 titles with 9,500 copies
3. Fiction literature: 8,220 titles with 10,690 copies
4. Foreign literature: 182 titles with 3,173 copies
5. Other literature: 1,091 titles with 29,309 copies
6. E-books: 9,943 titles
7. Audio materials: 860 titles

To date, 9,490 titles of educational literature have been digitized and uploaded to the “Electronic Library” platform for use.
There are no Braille books available, as there is no registered list of visually impaired students.
The number of audio materials amounts to 860 titles. The list of audio materials has been compiled and placed on a dedicated computer in the reading room.
The digitization of materials in the Information and Resource Center is conducted via the ARMAT program, with new acquisitions entered into the system, and electronic catalog cards printed and placed in the catalogs.
Currently, 16,215 titles are entered in the ARMAT system. The Information and Resource Center and its reading rooms are equipped with modern technology, all computers are connected to the institute’s local network and the Internet (with a speed of 1000 Mbps).
Wi-Fi is available in every reading room.

To support professors and students with daily information and various inquiries electronically, the official chat group channel “BuxMTI Electronic Library” (t.me/QRkodBuxMTI) operates, currently with 429 members.
More than 300 PDF and audio books are provided.
The BUXMTI electronic library website hosts 9,344 titles including textbooks, study guides, lecture notes, educational-methodological guidelines, and fiction.
