To supervise all draft orders, decisions, and decrees issued by the university and ensure that each issued order, decision, and decree is properly formalized in accordance with current laws and regulations;
To verify the compliance of orders, instructions, and other documents submitted for the rector’s signature with legal requirements;
To ensure that all university documents comply with national and international legislation, and in cases of legal contradictions, to take measures to annul or amend them;
To participate in the preparation and formalization of collective agreements;
To ensure the proper drafting and lawful execution of contracts concluded between the university and other organizations;
To assist in raising the legal awareness and legal literacy of university professors, staff, and management, communicating the content and essence of adopted normative-legal documents, and supporting legality in the activities of the university administration, faculties, departments, and divisions;
To receive citizens and university employees on legal matters and provide them with legal advice;
To replenish the university’s normative-legal document fund, including enriching the fund with codes, laws, commentaries, newsletters, and other legal publications, and to submit proposals for subscription to legal publications to the university rector;
To maintain a systematic record of normative-legal documents received by and issued by the university in accordance with established requirements, ensuring their preservation and control;
To submit proposals and, if necessary, participate in measures to eliminate violations of laws identified within the university and its faculties, departments, and divisions;
When required, to defend the rights of university professors and employees in law enforcement agencies and courts;
To cooperate with other departments in addressing the university’s accounts receivable;
To participate in the discussion of commission proposals reviewing the results of the university’s educational, scientific, and economic-financial activities;
To prepare relevant documents to be submitted to authorized state bodies regarding violations at the university, and to take measures to recover damages caused to the university;
To promote newly adopted laws, decisions, decrees, orders, and other normative-legal acts among university staff;
To have a strong knowledge of information and communication technologies;
To comply with the university’s internal rules, codes of conduct, and dress code requirements.
